Nicholas Associates Group wants its workforce to feel valued as people, not just employees. This mid-size operation, which has more than 40 years' experience in recruitment services, is a business driven by sales targets but it recognises that stress can be debilitating.

It promotes a caring culture, has partnered with Mind, and provides regular communications and advice on how to deal with stress. Weekly team meetings and monthly one-to-ones are structures that help to ensure support is offered to people who need it.

As part of their wellbeing, staff are encouraged to take short breaks during the day to take a walk, chat with a friendly face or practise a relaxation technique. The company also likes to get people away from their desk or workstation for lunch, which helps them recharge and work more productively.

Nicholas Associates operates nationwide and specialises in construction, engineering and technical jobs, executive search and graduate placements.
