Pertemps was founded by Constance Watts who opened the first branch in Temple Street, Birmingham, with just £500.

By 1970, a second office had opened in Wolverhampton. Today, Pertemps is one of the largest independent recruitment businesses in the country and is known as a leading staffing provider of talent within the business, as well as a leading provider of managed solutions.

The legacy of Constance Watts lives on in the family values that underpin the company's culture, with all employees following a set of ten core principles: loyalty; commitment; trust & respect; flexibility; integrity; resilience & determination; pioneering; accountability; team spirited; and fun.
