Pertemps Recruitment Partnership provide recruitment and staffing solutions to clients in the private and public sectors. They provide temporary, permanent and contract jobs to candidates. For over 55 years the name of Pertemps has been synonymous with temporary and permanent recruitment. Pertemps was founded by Constance Watts who opened the first branch in Temple Street, Birmingham, with just £500. By 1970, a second office had opened in Wolverhampton.

Today, Pertemps is one of the largest independent recruitment business in the country and is known as a leading staffing provider of talent within the business, as well as a leading provider of managed solutions. The legacy of Constance Watts lives on in the family values that underpin the company's culture, with all employees following a set of ten core principles: loyalty; commitment; trust & respect; flexibility; integrity; resilience & determination; pioneering; accountability; team spirited; and finally, fun.

With more than 100 branches from Dundee in Scotland down to Plymouth on the Devon coast, Pertemps is one of the UK's largest independent recruitment businesses. The Warwickshire-headquartered company was founded in 1961 by Constance Watts, who opened the first branch on Temple Street in Birmingham with a £500 loan. By 1970 a Wolverhampton branch had opened too and in the course of its long history Pertemps has grown to become synonymous with temporary and permanent recruitment.

It now provides a wide range of private and public sector organisations with temporary, permanent and contract staffing solutions, as well as managed services. Managers head up the nationwide network of Pertemps branches and offices, which they are given the autonomy to run as if they were their own and able to reflect the staffing needs of their local settings with authenticity.

Self-sufficiency among employees and contributions that count toward the wider business strategy are championed workforce-wide and staff engagement is at the top of the company agenda. Pertemps' philosophy of recognising talent and promoting from within has resulted in numerous inspirational examples for new starters to look to – such as company directors who started out as administrators.

Quote from the top...

“We have been through uncharted waters in the past year but, throughout, my colleagues at Pertemps have rolled with the punches and continued to deliver with passion, innovation and determination. ‘For the last 15 years, we have been on the Top 100 companies list. To get there once, based on responses from staff, is great, but 15 years is just incredible. “It is our 60th birthday year and this accolade is another thing for us to celebrate and be rightfully proud of.”

Tim Watts, Lifetime President - Pertemps Recruitment Partnership
