The Regenda Group has continued to support its partners at mental health charity, Chasing the Stigma and has worked with it to deliver its Ambassadors of Hope mental health awareness training to all staff as part of their induction process.
The group also diverted resources to its financial inclusion team to support its customers in managing their money and paying their rent while facing the challenges posed by the pandemic. It has also offered kickstart work placements, which allow unemployed 16- to 24-year-olds the opportunity to gain valuable work experience.
It also set up an equality, diversity and inclusion steering group made up of representatives from all of the businesses areas. A team of employees reports on the make-up of its workforce from an equality and diversity perspective every six months and reports any issues or areas for improvement to the leadership team.
The name Regenda is a combination of "regeneration" and "agenda" and reflects the organisation's purpose to regenerate places to create opportunities for people. Sinceit was formed in 2001, it has continued to grow and add to its portfolio by welcoming other organisations into the group to support this purpose.
