GREAT CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, friendly workmates and supportive, motivational bosses make Stockport College a great place to work. The 934 employees care about providing a great service, returning a 94% positive score on this question in our staff engagement survey. They believe they can make a valuable contribution to the success of the organisation (77%) and have fun doing so (76% positive). The college offers vocational and academic qualifications and training for students from 14 upwards. It is a national centre for a range of specialist courses and invests more than £160 in training for each member of staff every year. People think the job is good for their own growth (74%, a score bettered by only four other mid-sized bodies). They aren't bored in their roles (70%) and say work is an important part of who they are (75%). The positive can-do attitude culture comes from the very top.
