Talbots Law is a leading regional law firm that prides itself on daring to be different and never letting the process get in the way of providing a good level of service to its clients.
In November 2021 Talbots became the first law firm in the region to become an employee owned business. This decision was taken to capture and protect the company's independent, innovative and passionate people culture by placing the staff and the legal specialist at its heart.
The CEO has monthly one-to-one meetings with the Heads of Department, the operation leadership team meet weekly. and there are quarterly update meetings that all staff are invited to attend either in person or via Teams. The Company's Plan on a Page was launched in 2022 which details the Company's Vision and Mission together with its strategies, building blocks and values and these are displayed on boards in the offices.
Talbots Law believes in creating a better connect between what its employees see and do to organisational priorities and support. As such, at every opportunity, it ensures employees know they can speak up and speak out.
The company also aims to be environmentally friendly through a number of schemes. Every office is supplied with boxes to recycle cardboard along with boxes to recycle the printer cartridges. The organisation has boxes for all confidential paper and this is then recycled to make toilet paper. It also uses Veolia for its waste as this is converted into renewable energy rather than placed into landfill.
