Growing at a remarkable rate, the team behind The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) is united in its vision to inspire great British manufacturing on a global stage. Beginning with 44 forward-thinking employees in 2011, the MTC has expanded to house 800 at its awe-inspiring campus at Ansty Park, Coventry, and new offices in Liverpool.

The enterprise – a collaboration by the University of Birmingham, Loughborough University, the University of Nottingham and TWI Ltd, based in Cambridge – has now added extra facilities including the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre and the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing. With some of the most advanced equipment in the world, its facilities provide a competitive environment to bridge the gap between university-based research and the development of innovative manufacturing solutions in line with the government's manufacturing strategy.

That sets the scene for the MTC to encourage young people into exciting careers in engineering where they can develop and embed technologies that will impact British industry for years to come, enabling businesses to make goods faster, at higher quality and lower cost. Shared values of responsibility, inspiration, humanity and integrity, and teamwork are the starting point for every project. The MTC's expert employees are at the heart of the operation, which now covers not only research and development and training but advanced manufacturing management and factory design.
