Providing exciting and memorable early years experiences for children aged up to 5 years old, Tommie's Childcare is an award-winning nursery and playschool set in the Coventry and Warwickshire area that offers a unique way of learning and developing through its vision to nurture, protect and help children grow into well-balanced, happy and self-assured adults in safe, natural and creative surroundings.

Keeping in touch with employees is crucial to the business, with its ‘Facebook Workplace' providing a forum for head office to share information about everything from important business updates to the wellbeing of staff.

Indeed, wellbeing is something high on the agenda at Tommies, made all the more prominent when facing the challenges of the last two years. It has supported its staff, especially its key workers, by providing employment stability at a crucial time, as well as managing the anxiety of those feeling nervous about working during in the midst of a pandemic with its Wellness Action Plan (WAP).

In order to increase the benefits it offers as an organisation to support its employees' wellbeing, Tommies has made changes in a number of areas, including the amount of annual leave it gives staff. It has also adopted a more flexible approach to working hours in response to requests for a greater work-life balance.
