Tommie's Childcare is an award-winning nursery and playschool set in the Coventry and Warwickshire area. Its vision is to nurture, protect and help children grow into well-balanced, happy and self-assured adults in safe, natural and creative surroundings.
Wellbeing is high on the agenda at Tommies. Individual wellness action plans can be initiated if an employee is struggling and the company has a wellbeing initiative and a menopause policy. On top of that, last year it set up Tommies Food Bank to help staff with the cost-of-living crisis. Each nursery has areas filled with common weekly shopping items and staff can submit a list of what they need.
Keeping in touch with staff is crucial to the business and the Facebook Workplace forum is used to share information about everything, from important business updates to the wellbeing of staff.
