Started in 1992 in a garage with 4 people, Totemic are debt management specialists with now over 600 dedicated employees spread across four sites. Customers at the heart of everything they do and over the years have not lost their family culture. Totemic want to be market leaders, improve peoples lives and be the best place to work. They have a strong business proposition which provides real value to the market. They want to work together to build a community that improves people's lives. By working in this way, they believe they can help people live and build a positive future. All employees centre their day to day work around five core values: Heart; Effective; Ambitious; Reliable; and Trusted. The leadership team continue to update employees on at least a quarterly basis through briefings and business updates. These sessions aim to participate and welcome the input of the audience - this style has enabled Totemic to build stronger relationships with their people. Their 'State Of the Nation' year end update continues to be a tradition that brings the entire business together to understand the performance of the business and plans for the next year. Their communication channels help to reinforce their purpose and they try to ensure any communication reflects the correct tone of voice - in keeping with their values and purpose.
