Founded in 2013 by Nathan Hanslip and Ryan O’Carroll, Yo Telecom is a growing telecoms company based out of Southampton with a second office in Manchester.
The organisation has grown quickly over the last couple of years to become a team of 73 likeminded individuals and are constantly looking for ongoing improvements we can make to ensure that Yo Telecom is a workplace that people enjoy coming to, where they feel they can succeed and grow.
The organisation’s 10 core values are things that it looks for in every person at Yo Telecom and play a big part in its recruitment processes. This has resulted in a workplace which is incredibly friendly, and where people are able to work cohesively whilst also making lasting friendships.
In order to look after its employees’ mental and physical wellbeing, it provides a number of benefits. This includes money back on purchases of fitness wearables and a weekly Wellness Wednesday with a fun activity, baked treats ,and a newsletter with healthy recipes, feel good employee shoutouts and features what activities employees have been doing that week.
The organisation also runs Yo Telecom's 12 challenges which involves a different challenge each month (for example, 12,000 steps a day, inflatable 5k, white water rafting, 3 peaks challenge) which is open to all employees who want to join in and is funded by the company.

The organisation spend two days with new employees covering all things Yo Telecom before even starting on role specific training, it believe this is important in people's onboarding and feeling settled into the business. It also takes new starters out for lunch with the COO and relevant Line Managers on day one and day two.
