From rock to pop and classical to country, employees at AAT can enjoy discussing their favourite music genres thanks to ‘listening parties’ held to share and enjoy a few tunes.

The initiative, alongside coffee mornings and informal catch ups, are just some of the ways leading qualification and professional membership body for vocational accountants, AAT, encourages its people to come together socially.

Formed in 1980, the organisation prides itself on providing practical qualifications that meet the needs of both employers and employees. It’s committed to investing in its staff and supports, develops, and encourages its people to get the most out of their jobs.

Staff at AAT are motivated and genuinely want to make a difference to their members and wider customers. They live six key behaviours designed to enable the organisation to meet its business goals and continue to improve the quality of service delivered to customers, these are ‘Accountable’, ‘Challenge’, ‘Decisive’, ‘Inclusive’, ‘Pace’, and ‘Passion’.

AAT’s employees are professionals from a diverse range of backgrounds, united in their passion to provide an excellent service to their customers. With around 220 employees, spanning seven key divisions, each employee at AAT brings their unique expertise and perspective to their role.

The organisation's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) employee champions have produced a strategy to increase inclusivity within its working environment and it runs a programme of initiatives, including World Day for Cultural Diversity, Pride, and Black History Month.

Quote from the top...
I am at the start of my AAT journey and it’s already very clear to me that our people are central to our success, and their engagement is one of my top priorities. Through listening to colleagues, responding to feedback and having a shared purpose, we will continue to build on our strong inclusive culture and make AAT an even greater place to work.
