Digital marketing agency, Absolute Digital Media, switched to remote working at the start of the Covid pandemic and hasn't looked back since. Staff at the award-winning agency can now work from home or anywhere in Europe, increasing their options for creating a better work/life balance.
Other perks offered by the agency include private healthcare, three wellness days per year, regular team trips abroad - which have recently included Amsterdam and New York - quarterly virtual events such as cocktail-making and more. As a result, the company's workforce has increased by 49%.
The agency specialises in providing brands, big and small, with industry-specific search engine optimisation, digital public relations and pay-per-click campaigns. As a result of the pandemic, Absolute Digital Media drilled down into its strengths and focused on these three services. It also took the opportunity to align its brand with four areas: adult, pharma, finance and casino.
Its clients include online retailers Love Honey US and MegaPleasure, health companies Harley Street Hearing and PostMyMeds, and QuidMarket, a provider of direct loans. The company has received accolades at the Northern Digital Awards, Company Culture Awards and the UK Search Awards, among others.
Staff were consulted before going remote and the decision was unanimous. Absolute Digital Media has implemented practices to improve team communication and interaction, such as its 'Absolute Women' chat channel, daily team "power" meetings to run through upcoming projects, communication training and "deep work" sessions, allowing team members to switch off notifications to minimise distraction.
