Bark.com, an online services marketplace, brought a bit of magic to staff during lockdown. It supplied magicians to entertain them at virtual social events.
Bark helps people find the right professional for their project, covering more than 1,500 categories, from personal trainers to web design or gardening. The business is already profitable and has a proven model, but, with a small team of about 65 staff, it has the feel of a start-up.
Cutting-edge technology and talented staff are used to find the best person to do a job for clients.
Bark is a dynamic, exciting, early-stage business with the financial security of a privately owned, revenue-generating established company. Staff receive all the benefits of working in a start-up environment, which offers ownership, agility, responsibility and stimulation without any of the worries.
The company was placed sixth on The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 league table. It has a presence in eight countries and there are plans to expand its reach, globally.
Staff are seen as members of one big family who like to work hard and play hard, while being passionate about what they are doing.
