Beech Holdings are an award-winning residential developer based in Manchester. The company transforms unloved historic buildings in the city centre into environmentally sustainable and efficiently designed apartments. The company is wholly owned and run by Stephen Beech, a Manchester-born-and-bred property pioneer and green technology ambassador with more than 15 years experience as a successful property developer and landlord. His aim is to bring unloved historic buildings back to useful purpose and provide high-standard apartments to new graduates and young professionals. Beech Holdings are the parent company to Beech Properties; Beech Design and Build; and Manchester Apartments - the firm believes having all of their skills in-house means they have greater control over projects. From acquisition, design and build, and project management through to lettings and property management, they are involved in every aspect of the development process. Their state-of-the-art headquarters are located on Oxford Road in Manchester city centre.
My organisation encourages charitable activities
They support a different local charity every year and use it as an opportunity to create or contribute to their own events while raising money. Some examples include running the Manchester 10k and organising a charity pub quiz. Last year, employees raised around £6,000 for the Reclaim Project.
I believe I can make a valuable contribution to the success of this organisation
Beech Holdings have a social committee that works hard to ensure that employees spend some time together in a relaxed environment. They organise impromptu Friday drinks in the office if management feel the overall office atmosphere feels a little ‘heavy' - for example, at the end of a construction project or during tenant check-in season.
I feel a strong sense of family in my team
The company is committed to apprentice recruitment and development, taking school and college leavers as well as mature students through formal qualifications, such as NVQs, BTECs, HNCs, CIOBs and MRICs.
