Danske Bank has been serving customers for more than 200 years but makes a point of moving with the times. It offers the latest in digital banking to help maintain its status as one of the largest banks in Northern Ireland.

With 1,400 employees, it emphasises a collaborative culture that includes investment in learning and development, colleagues' wellbeing and online tools which enable them to perform and achieve, establish healthy boundaries between their work and private lives, and to give back to society.

Danske Bank plays an important role in driving economic growth and recognises its responsibility as a force for good in society and the local communities of which it is a part. It serves its customers through branches, regional business centres, telephone banking and digital channels.

At Business in the Community's 2019 responsible business awards, it was rewarded in three categories - diversity and inclusion, responsible digital innovation and wellbeing at work – and then scooped the overall award for the most responsible company in Northern Ireland.

It says that how it does business is as important as the business it does, with the objective of making more possible for its customers, employees, stakeholders and for society.

Staff can get help through Danske's partnership with the charity Action Mental Health, which offers Mindful Manager training. The bank also promotes family-friendly working practices, diversity and inclusion. lt supports events such as Belfast Pride and in recent years has increased female representation at senior management level.
