Direct Line is a leading retail general insurer that is home to well-known brands including Direct Line, Churchill, Privilege and Green Flag. The firm first opened their doors in 1985 selling car insurance from a single call centre in Croydon. Today, they have insurance available to both private and commercial customers within the UK. They offer cover for the home, pets, travel, life, and breakdown, as well as landlord and business insurance. Direct Line have more than 10 million customers, provide 13,000 car insurance quotes daily, sell a Direct Line policy every 10 seconds, and receive notifications from customers about a claim every 30 seconds. The head office of Direct Line is based in Bromley and is overseen by Chief Executive Officer Paul Geddes.
