To ensure staff had all the help they needed to do their job remotely during the pandemic, business development consultancy, EngageTech, employed a virtual assistant to act as the working from home coordinator.

The London-based lead generation and outsourced sales consultancy was founded in 2010 by managing director, James Ellis, to help companies who need support creating early stage opportunities to grow their business through services including account-based marketing.

Ellis started as the first employee and sales development representative and now heads a team of almost 80 people working at the firm's London headquarters and offices in Sydney and Stockholm. The business has been built on organic growth, with those in senior roles working their way up through the ranks.

In non-pandemic times, the modern, open-plan London office has a buzzing and vibrant sales floor with breakout areas for socialising, though, EngageTech has organised virtual social events and two daily team meetings to try to replicate the office based team spirit while staff work remotely from home.
