With offices in the UK and India, Flair Rugs is a multi-national, multi-million pound company that specialises in the designing, sourcing, and selling of rugs around the world.
Founded in 1984 by Dinesh Shah, the organisation has maintained its family values despite going global. Headed today by Dinesh’s son, Neel, the organisation uses traditional designs and innovative new techniques to create high-quality rugs.
These family values also extend to its employees, and the organisation prioritises the wellbeing of each and every individual. Flair Rugs has provided training to a number of employees so that there are now a number of Mental Health First Aiders across the business who employees can talk to in confidence and confidentiality whenever they need to.
The organisation has also created a dedicated wellbeing team whose purpose it is to promote wellbeing throughout the business, help others to spot the signs of mental health issues, and signposts colleagues to relevant support services. The wellbeing team also shares information and promotes physical and mental wellbeing initiatives that are taking place across the business.
Furthermore, the organisation has brought in a clinical hypnotherapist for colleagues who can then have private sessions help with any personal and work-related problems they are experiencing.
Flair Rugs also encourages walking meetings and the use of outdoor spaces to help improve physical and mental wellbeing, and it also provides free, healthy breakfasts and fruit to all employees.
