In an industry known for high employee turnover Crone Corkill maintains it has reduced this by 40% to 27.8% in the past year, thanks to a programme of internal advancement and a rewards package which includes overseas holidays. The firm has also invested heavily in training and a number of staff have changed career within the business. All employees have regular conversations with managers about their progress and trainers deliver one-to-one coaching. These incentives are working; staff recommend the company to others, giving it an 80% positive score. The chief executive carries out a half-year business update and directors undertake focus groups to listen to ideas and resolve issues. It follows that the 82% score for managers talking openly and honestly puts the company in the top 10 on this issue.
