A people-focused company, Giacom prides itself on its friendly, collaborative working environment, opportunities for self-development and sociability. Monthly events and office games such as pizza making classes, go-karting and real ale festivals are organised.
Each quarter, the Giacom Star Awards give the chance for staff to nominate colleagues across the business for their great work and dedication to the Giacom values, providing a real sense of recognition and achievement.
Founded in Hull in 1999 as a dial-up internet provider, Giacom has been transformed into a high-growth cloud software marketplace for IT companies that support thousands of small businesses across the UK. Its Cloud Market platform allows customers to offer a range of software products needed by small and medium size businesses, from email to security and the backup of technology titans like Microsoft, Acronis and Bitdefender.
Charity is at the heart of the organisation, with teams working hard to support the local community and charities they feel strongly about. Last Christmas saw Giacom pair up with Hull and East Yorkshire Children's University charity, participating in their Christmas Doorstep Elves scheme by delivering gifts to struggling families.
Through its continued sponsorship of Hull City Football Club, the organisation turned its attention to local grassroots teams, offering help to those linked to staff and customers in the Hull and East Riding area. It provided them with new kits, training equipment or match-day tickets.
