Business is booming for Global Processing Services (GPS) and the company wants to share its success by championing equality. Women make up 40% of senior management and with CEO Joanne Dewar at the helm it now sponsors the Fintech Diversity Radar, a global data platform investigating and rectifying gender imbalance in the fintech sector.

Founded in 2007, GPS has offices in London, Newcastle, Singapore, Sydney and Dubai. The technology platform processes and manages credit, debit or prepaid transactions for fintechs, digital banks and e-wallets across the globe, including brands like Revolut, Starling Bank and Curve.

Since the World Health Organisation advised against the use of cash for health reasons, 90% of face-to-face transactions made in April 2020 were contactless in the UK. GPS has capitalised on this soaring sector and now serves more than 40 issuing banks, 180 clients across 60 countries and over 150 currencies.

GPS shares its good fortune and is part of the Heart of the City Programme, a charity that teaches and pledges businesses to be socially responsible and support local community initiatives. Sustainability within the business is also on the right track. It has seen a 166% increase in cycle to work applications since the start of 2020.
