The Horder Centre, in Crowborough, was founded in 1954, as a charity to provide care and support to those suffering with arthritis. In 2015 the charity also formed the Sussex MSK Partnership, with a vision to transform musculoskeletal (MSK) services across the region. The charity also acquired the McIndoe Centre, in East Grinstead, diversifying the services into plastics and reconstructive surgery.

The charity is a modern, dynamic, inclusive organisation underpinned by its objectives to champion patients, people, and purpose. It is dedicated to creating a culture of long-term training excellence and achieves this by providing opportunities for staff development through its own City and Guilds Training Centre, a bespoke staff development portal and providing fellowships and bursaries.
