LEAPING INTO FIFTH place in our survey for Wellbeing with a score of 82%, Juniper can thank Zumba fitness classes for giving employees a bounce in their step. The workout features in one of the training provider's wellness programmes for its 99 employees at 12 centres across the Midlands. Managers talk openly and honestly with their teams (93%, in fourth place) and share important information (93%, second). Staff say their bosses motivate them to give their best every day (87%, third). Managers make sure they explain business goals and link them to individual performance plans, reviewed formally twice a year. There are two annual “inspire days” for training officers to share best practice. Emplpoyees nominate each other for the Pride award for going above and beyond their job description. Last year's voucher prize was handed out at the Olympic-themed company conference.
