A London-based law firm with more than 400 partners and staff, Kingsley Napley offers a wide range of legal services across 11 disciplines.

It insists on providing a high degree of personalised service to all clients with many lawyers leaders in their fields, earning the firm top rankings in legal directories. Core principles of teamwork and respect, integrity and fairness, commitment and understanding are reflected in every way that the firm operates.

All of the team from managing partner Linda Woolley downwards operate an open door policy with discussions on large projects that affect employees opened up to firm-wide consultation. Management decisions are shared in the KNer newsletter by Woolley who also highlights the contributions that “Kners” make externally to the local community.

The firm prides itself on its commitment to training programmes, with a six-figure annual budget that ensures all employees have access to learning and development opportunities, including Path to Partner. Each team manager also has a further £500 per person budget to develop the skills of team members.

Each year, the firm undertakes a thorough analysis of current market rates of comparable law firms and engages an external provider to benchmark all the firm's salaries against the market, in each area of practice. Opportunities for promotion have been switched from annually to every six months to support personal growth and continual career development.

A highly active Charities & Community committee chaired by a practice area leader/partner fund raises for charities chosen by “KNers” for support for two years.
