Kingsley Napley operate an open-door policy and discussions on large projects that affect employees are opened up to firm-wide consultation. Employees are kept up to date on all management decisions through the KNer Newsletter by managing partner Linda Woolley, which also highlights the contributions that “Kners” make externally to the local community.
A London-based law firm with more than 400 partners and staff, Kingsley Napley offers legal services across 11 disciplines.
It insists on providing a high degree of personalised service to all clients and many lawyers are leaders in their fields, earning the firm top rankings in legal directories. Core principles of teamwork and respect, integrity and fairness, commitment and understanding are reflected in every way that the firm operates.
Its charities and community committee is chaired by a practice area leader/partner, and aims to support and raise funds for smaller charities and organisations in the firm's local community.
Last year, Kingsley Napley donated £66,500 to 51 small charities including Hackney Foodbank. It also provided funds to a local primary school to help with software for children struggling with home schooling and also helped to transform a neglected area in their playground into a Secret Garden.
Kingsley Napley staff have walked 10km for London legal services in the London Legal Walk, run half marathons for cancer charities and organised its Christmas Jumper Day celebrations to raise money for its two chosen charities DOTS, which cares for homeless people and their dogs and Maytree, which supports those with suicidal feelings.
