Lothian Pension Fund administers the Local Government Pension Scheme in Edinburgh and the Lothians. A multi-employer scheme with over £8 billion assets, it manages 84,000 members and 90 employers and is the second largest LGPS fund in Scotland.

LPF's investment team holds FCA authorisation and manages more than 85% of assets in-house via internal equity and bond portfolios and infrastructure investment. In March 2017, LPF became the first UK local government pension fund awarded accreditation for the Pensions Administration Standards Association and it has consistently held the Customer Service Excellence award.

The mid-size organisation supported the Scottish launch of a nationwide initiative focused on increasing diversity and inclusion in the asset management, professional services and financial services industries.

It also helped launch the Scotland chapter of the Diversity Project, which aims to accelerate progress toward a more inclusive culture in the investment and savings sectors across all demographics, including gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age and disability.
