Founded in 1870, Mansfield Building Society was created with the principle of ‘Put People First’ regardless of their social standing or wealth.

Mansfield Building Society has 6 Wellbeing Champions who are all fully trained Mental Health First Aiders. Its Wellbeing Champions are available to all colleagues 24/7 - 365 days a year. As part of its induction programme all new starters meet one of our Wellbeing Champions in their first week of employment.
This year the organisation offered a training programme on Menopause which consisted of workshops on Managing Menopause in the Workplace and Managing My Menopause. This was open to all colleagues and will continue to run for at least twice a year to keep it in focus.
The organisation has rolled out its Menopause policy containing the ability for anyone suffering with the symptoms of menopause to take up to 5 days paid leave a year.
It has also introduced 4 Menopause Champions and recently signed up to the Menopause Friendly association. From a Wellbeing perspective Mansfield Building Society has also provided colleagues with a handheld/desk fan and sanitary products in all toilets.

To bring teams together, the organisation holds monthly Tea for the Soul sessions which contain themes, quizzes, tea, and cakes. It also hosts a Summer BBQ where teams come together and which includes an awards show. This year, employees also participated in an old-fashioned school sports day called the Woodland Treasure Hunt.

This programme covers: Effective Conversation Skills, Effective Presentation Skills, Effective Performance Management, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Time Management, Coaching and Motivation and Celebrating Success.
