Missile systems supplier MBDA works on contracts for the Ministry of Defence and allies of the UK under the core value of "deliver today for a more secure tomorrow". The company employs more than 10,000 people across Europe and America.

The company designs and produces missile systems to meet the current and future needs of the armed forces over land, sea and air. It works closely with the military to ensure that they have the capability they need to protect our freedoms, knowing that every advancement provides better, smarter and more effective defence capabilities for our home nations and their allies.

At every stage of production, teams operate with the understanding that their systems are used by the military working on the front line. Each employee plays an integral role in ensuring the company makes the best products.

MBDA believes the collaborative approach it uses and its culture of sharing knowledge is the key to its success. Employee-led networks and communities play a part in raising awareness, sharing experience and supporting people to learn and grow. These groups bring colleagues closer together, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

The company's networks have played an important role in supporting employees and promoting a sense of community during challenging times. These include SPACE2B, which is concerned with gender balance, Pride at MBDA, which focuses on sexual orientation and gender, and Mosaic, an ethnic diversity network. There is also a parents' and carers' community and a Neurodiversity at MBDA network.

All news starters have two inductions. The first is led by the individual’s manager and focusses predominantly on their role. The second induction is delivered at a later date and acts as an introduction to the wider business, with sessions led by leaders of each department across the business to encourage inter-departmental collaboration.
