Oakleaf Partnership is a privately-owned HR and associated people services recruitment business. Oakleaf was set up in the mid 2000's by Richard Colgan. Richard wanted to create a different type of recruitment firm, one based on his own values. As an ex-Army officer, he named the firm Oakleaf, a symbol of courage. He wanted a business where people were both encouraged to express themselves and have fun. Colleagues live and breathe Oakleaf's values in everything that they do. Values are sought-after from the interview stage when recruiting colleagues, to when they start at the organisation, through to monthly one to ones with management and at the end of the quarter presentations. To promote their values of Courage, Innovation, Integrity, Passion, and Diversity, Oakleaf have an 'Employee of the Quarter' where all employees vote for the colleague they believe has best lived and demonstrated their values. This not focused on revenue generation but is all about behaviours. They strive to succeed in their value driven goals, on an individual level, team level and as an organisation. They believe everyone is responsible for upholding their values.
