At B2B software solutions company Pax8 UK, celebrating failure is as important as recognising success.
The company, founded in the US and now with offices worldwide, including Bristol and Farnborough, wants its team to feel comfortable trying new things even if they don't work out.
Those nominated for a 'Wooden Spoon' win vouchers or a celebratory bottle of bubbly and get a 'golden ticket' to Pax8 UK's annual awards event alongside colleagues nominated for a job well done.
A 'culture canvas' hangs on the wall of every Pax8 UK office, setting out how people are expected to behave and treat each other. Company leaders and 'Culture Champions' from across the business helped shape the content, creating vlogs to explain each section. The canvas is discussed and celebrated at the company's monthly All-Hands meetings and is a central part of training for new hires.
Meanwhile, Pax8 UK's 'Culture Club' plans a full calendar of engagement activities from networking and fundraising to wellbeing and socials. A 'meet for a meal' scheme encourages employees to network over free food every month. And the 'Live Your Best Life Pass' gives employees up to £50 a year to put towards an annual membership or subscription, whether for the gym or a wellbeing app.
