Driven by the mission to provide the very best solutions for customers, staff at Prestige Telecom supply bespoke business communication packages that join the dots between line rental, call charges, maintenance, broadband and mobile bundles.

The appetite for Prestige's one-stop solution for all things business telecom has seen the company's success soar since its foundation in 2014 by managing director Sean Rhodes.

Prestige's culture is underpinned by the philosophy that ‘happy people sell', and the Hampshire-based firm goes above and beyond to make its employees smile – even installing a 38m artificial jungle wall in the office recently, to give HQ an uplifting, fresh look when everyone returned.

Cementing the work-hard-play-hard atmosphere are regular team-bonding days out and trips away. Incentives go a step further still – such as a giveaway trip to Las Vegas. The company made the decision to send staff to work from home before the government mandated lockdown came in. Employees were set up with laptops and desktops configured with Prestige's unique systems, along with ergonomic chairs and extras such as pens, tea and coffee.

Harnessing Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Facebook Workplace to engage in daily sales briefings, one-to-ones with department heads and virtual coffee breaks with colleagues, staff have come through the pandemic feeling more connected than ever. The sales force was slowly reintegrated back into the 5,500 sq ft office at a rate of four employees per week and Prestige has staggered staff breaktimes to ensure social distancing, while also capping occupancy on the breakout and meeting rooms.

My team is fun to work with

Staff have a well-equipped breakout room to unwind in, complete with a newly stocked games console, ping pong table, air hockey and an arcade games machine. At the weekly online quiz a name was picked at random from a hat to decide who would be quizmaster next, a tradition that Prestige has kept.

Giving Something Back

93% of staff agreed

My organisation encourages charitable activities

For every pound of weight that employees lost during an eight-week fitness programme this year, Prestige Telecom donated £5 to charity. Senior managers and directors also took part in a ration challenge, in which they ate the same food a Syrian refugee is allocated, to help Concern Worldwide raise over £1.5m.
