Process Systems Enterprise (PSE) provide Advanced Process Modelling software and services based on their gPROMS platform software. The organisation work with most of the major chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies globally. PSE enable customers to explore the process decision space more rapidly, while reducing uncertainty and making better, faster and safer design and operating decisions through a deeper understanding of their processes. With a diverse workforce, consisting of employees of 32 nationalities, PSE encourages a flexible working environment for all staff. The organisation says that after receiving requests from people whose families did not live in the UK to be able to work abroad, they launched a ‘work abroad from home' policy, which allows employees to work from home for up to eight days in a calendar year, as long as they can connect remotely to the office. By offering this, PSE have found that they have enjoyed high retention rates, as people now feel they are able to spend more time with family, work flexibly from another country and save money on air fares.
