Founded in 2009 by now-Chairman Peter Roberts and based in Leeds, PureGym have over 200 no-contract gyms around the country. PureGym, whose Chief Executive Officer is Humphrey Cobbold, believe that everyone should be able to keep fit and healthy. PureGym offer world-class fitness equipment at an affordable price. That's why theirs is a stripped-back service, with no saunas, cafes and steam rooms. Instead, clients get all the latest kit, including functional training zones, vibration platforms and TRX suspension trainers. They're also open 24/7, so people can train at 3am if it suits. Each gym offers over 220 pieces of fitness equipment and up to 80 group exercise classes each week delivered by around 950 personal trainers. PureGym's current membership is 450,000, growing by 75% a year.
