Right Legal Group is “dedicated to inspiring ambition” in its employees.

For the Derby-based legal services Group, its Personal Business Planning process is the “most exciting time of year.” It gives its team of around 130 staff a framework to help set their goals and outline the steps they’ll need to take to achieve them.

And the process is focused on more than professional goals; it wants staff to consider where they want to be personally and financially too. They get a workbook for inspiration on how to achieve their goals, and can present their vision however they wish, from PowerPoint to scrapbook.

The Right Legal Group – a network of law firms around the UK specialising in wills, trusts and estate planning – wants job-seekers to see the Group as a workplace of opportunity and for new starters to set their ambitions high from day one.

It now has a renewed focus on telling The Right Legal Group story, using success stories of people within the business to showcase the journey. It wants people to see the impact they can have on clients, the company and their own careers.

The Group works with an external leadership specialist to create bespoke company management courses. These range from understanding different personality preferences and how to handle various social styles to having performance management conversations. Consolidation workshops then help put these learnings into practice.
