Established in 2008 by co-founders Paul Black and Kevin McGirl, sales-i is today a global company with dozens of award wins under their belt, as well as thousands of customers. Specialising in sales analytics software for wholesale distribution, the company is headquartered in Birmingham and employs more than 80 members of staff. At the heart of their work are three core values: ‘Do it with heart', ‘Integrity', and ‘Innovation' - each of which are central to their aim of creating a culture where innovation thrives and products are delivered on time and to the right specification. Personal development is important to the company, which empowers staff with a variety of training, support and mentoring programmes to enhance longer-term career plans. Co-founders Paul and Kevin regularly interact and work alongside all departments of the business, encouraging an open working environment. Their doors are always open to the team - whether for a quick chat or for detailed discussion about an upcoming project.
I believe I can make a valuable contribution to the success of this organisation
One lucky sales-i employee, who is a keen runner, was allowed to work in the company's Chicago office so that he could take part in the Chicago Marathon. The trip was fully funded, with no annual leave required, and sales-i even contributed to his fundraising efforts.
My team is fun to work with
sales-i ensures employees have time to relax and socialise by providing a table tennis table and equipment for use when taking a break from their desks. What's more, the company prides itself on its flexibility for parental requirements - including changing working hours to meet childcare needs.
