Searchability has a team of more than 50 people across the UK, Europe, and America. The recruitment company was founded by Blythe in 2012 to challenge the traditional approach to recruitment and champion social media as a tool to source and engage job candidates.
Searchability offers "feel sound hours" to staff, a policy that allocates 16 hours a year to each employee to use to help their wellbeing. The time can be taken in one-hour slots and does not require any notice.
No questions are asked, and staff can use the allowance however they see fit. Last year, the company also provided a programme of events, mostly virtual, based on a range of wellbeing topics, including puppy therapy, mindset matters, the power of positivity, sleep, and circadian rhythms, breathwork, financial wellbeing advice and boxercise.
Staff have used it to leave early, take a few extra hours in bed if they are feeling low or exhausted, or attend a gym class or relaxation session.
The atmosphere in Searchability’s HQ is always buzzing, and there is a strong social culture which every employee is welcomed into.
All staff have access to the office games suite and bar and are also regularly rewarded through their unique #FirstFriday celebrations, charity days, award ceremonies, and much more.
Additionally, it installed a health station that measured key health statistics, all employees who participated (80%) gained access to personalised health insights and the ability to track health over time.
