More than two million people, from Airbnb hosts to people requiring in-home care, trust The Key Safe Company to keep their keys safe and secure until needed.
As Europe's first ISO-approved key safe company, it's worked to help regulate the sector and develop the police-preferred standard. And the Worcester-based company considers its team of around 30 employees to be "the driving force behind the solutions that make a difference."
It recognises its employees' hard work and efforts in various ways, from giving everyone the same profit-related bonus to ensuring all staff see positive feedback and reviews, whether from internal teams or external parties.
Staff are continually invited to share their ideas on what would make the company an even better place to work. Regular surveys gauge opinions on topics like benefits and events, and quarterly steering groups see department reps coming together to share feedback and concerns. The HR system has a dedicated suggestion box, with staff awarded £100 vouchers if their idea helps contribute to organisational success.
Changes resulting from these open communication channels include improved town hall meetings and the HR team being trained as mental health first aiders. The leadership team will also consider days off for birthdays and changes to working patterns.
And it's not all business talk at The Key Safe Company; the Teams channel 'Conversation Street' invites colleagues to share anything from uplifting quotes to pet pictures.
