A DECADE ON from its inception in founder Simon Mansell's bedroom, this Facebook marketing agency has hung onto its youthful spirit. It's been quite a ride since 2001: the business has gone global with offices in Paris, New York, Chicago and San Francisco as well as London. Mansell, the chief executive, is an inspiring leader, say staff (91%). Clients include Vodafone, Heineken and HSBC. The average age of the workforce is 28, with 60 of TBG's 67 employees under 35. They are excited about where the company is going (92%). Staff say managers help them to fulfil their potential (82%) and listen (85%). Bosses take the temperature in the office with a quarterly general happiness questionnaire. Flu jabs and Berocca vitamins are "on tap" plus free breakfast, monthly haircuts, manicures and massages. "Exciting work is never produced from a dull or boring environment," the firm says. Staff find their jobs stimulating (85%). www.tbgdigital.com

I feel that my manager talks openly and honestly with me
This year the company has organised and paid for: Go-Karting, Cocktail making and most recently Silly-Sports day on the Hampstead Heath and they also hold regular monthly ping-pong tournaments. Earlier this year TBG Digital held a Macmillan coffee morning. Everyone was encouraged to bring in a home baked cake or biscuits. The response rate was excellent and the winner of the best home baked entry won a small prize. The office was decorated in Macmillan green. The donations from the staff were generous and the coffee morning was a huge hit, it generated a real buzz in the office and of course, there was lots of recipe swapping going on.
