The Rossendale Trust are a charity providing full time care and support to adults with learning disabilities, some with physical disabilities. They also provide a day service and provision of short-term employment opportunities for tenants. Based in Macclesfield, Rossendale Trust have over 200 employees looking after tenants living in shared apartments and houses, and have annual expenditure of about £4.5m. There is a firm belief that their greatest asset is their team of dedicated team members, and do what they can to help them progress and develop with them. Rossendale Trust encourage the team to further develop their academic qualifications and provide financial support up to level 7 in a sector where care and NVQs are more important than MBAs. They have a rewards and recognition framework which links closely with the organisation's values. Celebration evenings, death in service cover, health insurance, long service awards and Christmas bonus' all form part of their benefits package. In addition, staff forums, newsletters, staff suggestion schemes and team meetings ensure staff are heard and truly feel part of the team.
