To bring the story of tanks and their crews to life, The Tank Museum recognises the importance of an engaged and enthusiastic team.

Spanning a broad range of roles and professions ,it is our desire to ensure that all team members are united by our purpose (to tell the story of the tank and those that served in them) and understand how their role contributes to the success of this mission. In doing so, we believe we can create outstanding levels of job satisfaction and employee loyalty.

Whether engaged in collections care, commercial operations, visitor services, events, exhibitions catering, retail, media production or marketing we are developing a culture based on our core values of ambition, integrity, passion and caring.

The friendly atmosphere is underpinned by a desire to offer excellence in all areas – with encouragement provided for team members to take advantage of training and development opportunities; ranging from externally facilitated single-day workshops to a range of professional qualifications completed over longer periods. The Museum offices have recently been renovated to provide excellent new facilities, including a shower and the first purpose-built staff break room.

To provide opportunities to younger people from the region, The Tank Museum offers apprenticeships, internships and work experience placements in a number of teams.
