United Response is a national charity that provides person-centred support to around 2,000 adults and young people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs, including some of the most vulnerable people in our society.



Its vision is a society of equal rights and access where disabled people have the opportunity to live the lives they want to lead.

United Response provides bespoke support, from a few hours a week to 24 hour care, at around 320 locations across England and Wales. It employs over 3,500 staff and is regularly recognised with awards for its innovative, high-quality range of services.
 
Placing a focus on the wellbeing of its people, United Response provides employees with access to an abundance of resources, including webinars on managing teams and working remotely, and mental health training for all.
 
The charity also runs formal 1-2-1 meetings with employees every six to eight weeks, to establish a personal ‘Wellness Action Plan’. Employees can also make use of the charity’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), occupational health support, free physiotherapy sessions and a quarterly wellbeing forum, led by members of the Directors’ team.

United Response works closely with Salary Finance, an employee benefit scheme which helps staff to improve their financial health by offering loans to staff as well as offering financial planning for those who may be struggling. There’s also a staff benefits platform available to all employees, which provides several discounts on everyday expenses from food shops to holidays.
