Wardell Armstrong are a multidisciplinary engineering, environmental and mining consultancy with a history dating over 175 years. They help clients to get the best possible financial returns while doing things in a sustainable reasonable way. Set up by mining engineer William Armstrong in 1837, the company has grown into a team of 480 independent, creative-thinking and passionate experts. As an independent LLP, Wardell Armstrong is owned by working shareholders and directors with no vested interest in any particular technology or partner. This keeps the company stable, in control and motivated to do the right thing. Keith Mitchell is Managing Director of the firm. He is a chartered engineer and a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. The head office is in Stoke-on-Trent with 11 other offices across the UK, including Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Edinburgh, as well as two international offices in Kazakhstan and Russia.
