An on site occupational nurse carries out regular well being tests and develops healthy initiatives such as stop smoking campaigns. At any time an employee can request a lifestyle review as an optional service on top of the medical screening they are entitled to.

The induction plan for new starters includes being introduced to the senior management including the directors. The leadership team frequently attend training and development courses including ECI and TMS psychometric testing alongside residential courses. Monthly communications are presented to the company in person by the directors or the senior management who are also encouraged to attend all team building sessions and regional visits.

Biwater Treatment are aiming to build on their success in supporting primary schools with elements of the curriculum involved with the water cycle by moving the programme into secondary schools. The Northern Ireland area is involved with the young enterprise scheme where a commercial assistant works in a local school for one hour per week over six weeks.
