The Creative Engagement Group protected the breaks of staff working remotely during the pandemic – an innovation in line with ethos that it is the people who make the business.
Employees of the communications group were encouraged to schedule breaks and given the confidence to say ‘no' to meeting requests that would disrupt that downtime.
Weekly ‘supportive and genuine' Q&As with CEO Russ Lidstone allowed employees to air their concerns about job security and the future of the agency, which would normally organise a lot of live events.
Employees also used the ThinkTank tool to share how they were feeling and how they were adapting to the changing times.
Online training was given on remote working, staff did self-assessments to identify any equipment they needed and training was offered to 20 new mental health first aiders.
An online toolkit, created using in-house expertise, provided a one-stop support shop for employees and managers, with information on everything from staff benefits to recommended apps and websites.
Leaders and line managers checked in regularly with their teams and, just as importantly, individuals were encouraged to look out for each other.
The Creative Engagement Group, which responded to the challenges of the pandemic by moving from live events to virtual and hybrid sessions, prides itself on its flexibility.
It works with clients to provide employee engagement, learning and training solutions, scientific engagement and capability building – all underpinned by applied behavioural science. They engage internal and external audiences through the creation and delivery of live virtual & hybrid experiences, film, branded content, immersive and interactive content.
And its employees have lots of fun along the way.
