The Royal Horticultural Society are Britain's largest gardening charity, sparking the imagination of the nation's gardeners with public gardens, shows and work in education, science and local communities. They run Europe's largest community gardening campaigns, through RHS Britain in Bloom, as well as the Campaign for School Gardening and regional outreach programmes in Scotland, Yorkshire and the North East. The RHS School of Horticulture training courses give students a practical way to understand the theory of horticulture with the RHS also offering horticultural apprenticeships. Employees are encouraged to continually seek out opportunities to learn and develop, which typically takes place on the job, but there are also specific assignments set to enable further training and growth. Founded in 1804, the RHS aims to be known, loved and trusted as the charity for all gardeners, transform communities through gardening and to create world-leading horticulture that inspires people to garden.
