Each year team members from across the organisation take on the Dragon's Glen, an entrepreneurial challenge designed to help raise funds for children's charity Children 1st. The team wrote a cookbook that featured recipes from different team members, raising £11,500.

Northcote believe all of their achievements, such as Hotel of the Year, Mr B winning Hotelier of the Year and retaining their Michelin Star for 23 years are all down to the team and the people making the difference every day.

Last year, Northcote Group raised over £50,000 for Hospitality Action, which offers vital assistance for people who work, or have worked in the hospitality industry and who find themselves in crisis. One way of raising money for the charity included their ‘Obsession' food festival.

Within their Kitchen Brigade of 30 chefs, they strive to promote from within and their apprenticeship programme has recruited one third of their workforce. Danny Young, who last year won National Young Chef of the year, he is currently sous chef at the age of 24.
