When lockdowns kept many of its customers at home, Transport for Greater Manchester helped to keep the National Health Service moving.

Staff from the local government body were involved with the distribution of personal protective equipment and the transformation of Manchester Central Convention Centre into the Nightingale Hospital North West. 70 refurbished bicycles were provided to help key workers commute more easily.

TfGM also donated a bus to Guide Dogs for the Blind to help the charity continue its efforts to train dogs for assisting owners on public transport.

In normal times, more than 5.6 million journeys a day are made on Greater Manchester's transport network, which covers 10 districts. It includes the UK's largest light-rail system, trams and buses. All interchanges and bus stations remained open during the pandemic thanks to TfGM's dedicated front-line staff, who worked within area bubbles.

To protect employees' mental and physical health during this challenging period, Wellbeing Time was introduced. This half-day a month, taken as a block or in shorter periods, provided an opportunity for them to get away from their screens or duties during the working day.

TfGM is responsible for delivering the city-region's transport strategy and commitments. It is working hard to make travel easier through a better-connected network, and to make travel as safe, as well as simple, as possible.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
